Yet again, 1993 was a stellar year for original dramatic scores. In addition to the above, JOHN BARRY’s My Life, PATRICK DOYLE’s Much Ado About Nothing, GEORGE FENTON’s Shadowlands, JAMES HORNER’s The Man Without A Face, MICHAEL NYMAN’s The Piano, RACHEL PORTMAN’s The Joy Luck Club and HOWARD SHORE’s Philadelphia could easily have made the best of the year list had they been released in another year.
